Additionally, we discovered that the Moshi Digits had a superior grip and dried more quickly than other knit gloves. The glove has recently undergone a revision by the manufacturer in order to lengthen the prior model’s annoyingly short fingers and accommodate a wider range of hand sizes. The Black Diamond HeavyWeight ScreenTap Fleece Gloves, which have a flexible fit that hugs the hand like a second skin and improves typing accuracy compared to other gloves we tested, are a good option if you’re particularly concerned about an accurate fit. However, there was hardly any difference in typing comfort between the Moshi Digits and the Black Diamond gloves.
The fleece used in the Black Diamond pair repels water and blocks wind more effectively than conventional knit fabrics like those used in the Glider Gloves. These, however, are not particularly warm on their own because they are meant to be liner gloves. In really low temperatures and the snow, you might wish to wear the Black Diamonds with an outer glove unless you’re going to be active. The elastic nature of the Black Diamond gloves also makes fitting more accommodating than with some of the other gloves we examined, and the brand provides more precise sizing options than Moshi.
Canada Goose Mixed Media Gloves
The brushed inside lining of these gloves makes slipping them on a divine experience. With a soft shell and leather exterior, they are also warm. Unfortunately, the touchscreen’s performance is subpar. Any finger or thumb can be used for typing, but it needs more perseverance than with the other gloves on our list. After some practice, users were able to use their thumb quite proficiently, but the index finger was much more hit-and-miss, with touches regularly failing to register.
The gloves have a good grip, and a strip of elastic keeps the wrists snug, but there is no adjustable strap. These gloves are, without a doubt, the most comfortable. However, we can only suggest them if you hardly use your phone outside in the bitter cold.
Kent Wang Deerskin Gloves
The Kent Wang Deerskin Gloves include a traditional style, a cashmere lining, and touchscreen accuracy that is above average. Our test subjects thought they were about as warm as the Black Diamond fleece touchscreen gloves, albeit not quite as warm as the double-layer knit Moshi Digits.
They cost a lot, just like the Canada Goose Workman Gloves. It could be more difficult to find the right fit with the Kent Wangs because they are sold in certain sizes, and the leather is less flexible than the knit and fleece materials we recommend.
